Vinous Neal Martin - 30 Jan 24
The 2022 Corton Grand Cru, bottled at the end of November, offers bright, brambly red fruit, loam and light incense aromas on the nose, with maybe just a suggestion of tree bark. The palate is medium-bodied, with powdery tannins and dark berry fruit laced with white pepper and clove, although the finish doesn't quite kick on as I was expecting. Perhaps, if given the choice, I might plump for the Beaune Cent Vignes. Tasted at merchants' 2022 Burgundy tastings in London.
